Miceál O’Hurley Appointed Diplomatic Editor of Diplomat Ireland and Diplomat Northern Ireland

Miceál O’Hurley (56) has a long history in broadcast and published journalism. He is a member of the Foreign Press Association and the Overseas Press Club of America. Miceál served as a Legislative Assistant and later Counsel in the United States Congress prior to beginning his career in journalism covering Desert Storm in 1990. Over the years he has served as a Defense and Security Analyst for CTVNews – Canada’s top ranked news station as well as being a contributor to various syndicated radio and print media outlets. Miceál won accolades for his coverage of the September 11th attacks in New York and for his reporting on the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Miceál has served as a credentialed journalist at the United Nations, New York. For the past three years, Miceál has been a frequent contributor to Diplomat Ireland (www.diplomat.ie).
