 President Higgins Receives New German Ambassador – His Excellency, Mr. Cord Meier-Klodt

His Excellency, Mr. Cord Meier-Klodt, Ambassador of Germany to Ireland, was received by President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin where he presented his Letters of Credence Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary on Wednesday, 22 September 2021.

His Excellency, Mr. Cord Meier-Klodt was accompanied to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2 Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of 2nd Lieutenant Dillon McAuliffe.

A Guard of Honour was provided at Áras an Uachtaráin by the Air Corps, Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, under the command of Lieutenant Joseph Ward.
