RECRUITERS is an Irish-owned recruitment services company operating in the heart of Dublin city since 2006. With offices in Dublin and Kildare, RECRUITERS is recognised as Ireland’s most trusted recruitment partner, ranking top position in Ireland on both Google Reviews and Trustpilot – the world’s leading independent service review sites.
Founded on values of honesty, openness, drive, creativity and fun, RECRUITERS consistently delivers its recruitment services in a professional and consultative manner.
What sets RECRUITERS apart from other agencies in Ireland?
We define ourselves as a recruitment partner and not a recruitment agency. Like all good partnerships, ours is built on trust, honesty and above all else – quality of service. We don’t just source talent for our clients, we help them achieve their business goals and objectives. We do that by working in close partnership with our clients. Our clients are assigned a dedicated senior account manager and a company director – available whenever you need – to ensure that we deliver to your standards and agreed KPIs. We get to know your company and team inside-out until we instinctively know which candidates fit your skills and culture requirements. We then use our insider knowledge of the market, technology and our vast network to source those ideal candidates out. Unlike many of our competitors, we don’t just rely on job boards to source actively looking jobseekers. This is key because it means our clients benefit from us sourcing active and passive jobseekers. Our competitive advantage definitely lies in our proven abilities to source the best talent (that stays!) and our approach towards client experience – a recent survey revealed that 100% of clients would recommend us to another business.
Because of this trust and collaboration with clients, we won “Managed Services Recruitment Professionals of the Year” at the 2018/2019 Business All-Star Awards.
RECRUITERS is recognised as Ireland’s most trusted recruitment partner and ranks top positions in Ireland on both Google Reviews and Trustpilot – What marketing tools and business strategies does RECRUITERS use to stay relevant and noticed by both candidates and clients alike?
Just by having a presence on these online rating sites and being the most followed recruitment company in Ireland on Instagram (the fastest growing social media site in the world right now), we stay relevant. At the end of 2017 we took on an experienced marketing manager to lead the marketing function at RECRUITERS and he forced us all to consider what the essence of the RECRUITERS brand was. In terms of tools and strategies, it’s really not rocket science. It’s about talking to our candidates and clients where they are. For instance, we use an app called Slack to talk to IT candidates. We listen to our clients’ and candidates’ needs and feelings at each stage of their recruitment journey and provide quality content and information that will assist them. Ultimately, we want our clients and candidates to be a success whether they use our services or not. This formulates a bond and a trust, which helps us to stay relevant and noticed when it comes to them needing our help, which is regularly.
What are the core values of the company and how do they affect how you do business?
Our recruitment processes, our marketing, our business decisions, our client advice, our language, you name it – absolutely everything we do at RECRUITERS is on the back of our core values of honesty, openness, creativity, drive and fun. Since we opened our doors in 2006, values have been a core aspect of our business and probably the reason we survived through the recession. Indeed, they also set us apart from our competitors. It’s glaringly obvious when a company preaches good values and doesn’t practise them. Because of our values, we also led very much by example when it came to implementing GDPR best practices in the industry, which had a significant impact on how we do business for the better. Breaking it down:
- Honesty: We communicate with honesty and only work with those whose values and ethical principles are similar to ours.
- Openness: We’re open about what we do and how we do it.
- Creativity: We look at problems differently and find creative solutions for clients and candidates.
- Drive: We’re driven to succeed and go about and beyond for candidates, clients and colleagues.
- Fun: We’re positive, love what we do, and we enjoy working with our clients and candidates every day.

Where do I begin? Honestly, the benefits are endless to an embassy. Working with RECRUITERS means that your roles are guaranteed to be filled. Not only that, but if you’re not 100% satisfied with your new hires, you don’t pay a penny and we immediately look for their replacement. We don’t just guarantee to fill your roles, but we guarantee that we’ll do so faster, smarter and better than any other channel or service provider. Hire on your own and you only access active jobseekers (15% of the market). With us, you get instant access to active and passive jobseekers that have already been carefully vetted and ready for interview. You receive key insights into the hiring market, which ensures you don’t underestimate the demand and value of key skills. Our clients also get to avail of our full suite of products and services. Not only can we help embassies hire great permanent and temporary staff, but we can advise their nations’ businesses that are thinking of investing or moving to Ireland. We truly consult on what’s best for businesses and understand that if we deliver the best people for their organisation, our partnership will deepen with their business growth.
What benefits are there to an individual to go through a recruitment agency when looking for a job?
Again, there are so many benefits. RECRUITERS has one of the largest permanent and temporary worker networks in Ireland because:
- The level of care and customer experience we provide. It’s why we’re the highest rated recruitment company in Ireland on Trustpilot and Google Reviews.
- As consultants, we act as a mirror for candidates to delve into finding out what they want in a fulfilled career.
- We can open doors for candidates, doors that are exciting and doors they may not know exist. We can advise on career development, enhancing activities, training and opportunities.
- We work with candidates on vital things such as CV and interview preparation to maximise their performance on applying for a role and company.
- We are advocates of candidates showcasing their strong points.
- We can guarantee that their CV and application will be seen by the right people as opposed to disappearing into the proverbial black hole of job applications that is associated with the internet.
- We can advise on realistic salary expectations in relation to the market in real time.
- We coach candidates through the interview process giving valuable feedback and steers.
- We can inform them what is important for the company and hiring manager – vital information that always exists beyond what is written on the job specification.
What are some of the best ways candidates can impress prospective employers and recruitment agencies?
- A great CV – a CV is a brochure to you. This is often overlooked and not enough time is put into what is a very important document.
- A LinkedIn profile that reflects and backs up the CV, accompanied with recommendations.
- Evidence of internal promotions in and organisation as opposed to moving organisations to get them.
- Good interview techniques and especially listening skills.
- Smart questions at the end of each interview that show you understand the role and company. You are still being evaluated by the quality of the questions you ask.
RECRUITERS has been awarded best in class nine times by The National Recruitment Federation, Ireland’s recruitment governing body, and were accredited “Managed Services Recruitment Professionals of the Year 2018/2019” at Ireland’s All-Star Business Awards – what are the driving factors behind this kind of success?
Ultimately, it comes down to the quality of service you provide and how you provide it. We have a lot of advocates, which was a huge driving force to winning the Business All-Star Award in 2018. Part of this process is “a mystery shopper” round whereby they called a number of our clients at random to ask about us. We had no way of telling who they would call, but luckily it worked out for us. The NRF Awards are more about how we executed industry best practices throughout the year and how this impacted on our clients’ success and the industry as a whole. It’s such a competitive market so it’s always a massive achievement for us to come away with a win, or two, each year.
What is the best thing about working for RECRUITERS? Is there a good team dynamic?
We have long-serving members of staff extending well beyond five years, which is unusual in our industry. Recruitment consultancy is a demanding role and full of uncertainties because our product is people and people are naturally very emotional beings whose minds change quickly and often. That said, we have a really good learning and development programme and upskilling camps for all of our staff at RECRUITERS. In addition, our values are key and they attract like-minded people. In this way, people want to work for us beyond monetary reasons. We also have a massively supportive and collaborative culture and ethos that has embedded itself naturally over the years. We don’t have pool tables, but we do have fun with social events and parties. We work as a team and have a huge amount of trust in each other, which is reflected positively in our Glassdoor reviews (4.9/5). The company avoids a blame culture at all costs. We focus on solutions and learning outcomes, not who may have caused the problem.
What has been the company’s highlight to date?
There have been so many highlights. In addition to our move to our new Dublin city headquarters, expanding across Ireland, our many awards and appointing a strong management team, our biggest highlight we’ve had to date would have to be the success of our temps and contracting division, which works with many enterprise sites such as Ebay, PayPal, Workday, Symantec and now Facebook and LinkedIn. Here we work with contingency workers in business operations, marketing, sales and marketing, accounting and finance here in Ireland. Our payroll outsourcing service has been particularly effective for these businesses. Here, we payroll all of their contractors and temp workers which I think might also be really relevant to the embassies in Dublin.
What’s next for the company?
Right now, we are expanding across the nation. We opened offices in Kildare in 2017 and we aim to open more offices nationwide. We’re also expanding our contracting division rapidly and launching into new sectors such as life sciences, embassy recruitment and public sector. We’ll do all of this organically with the aim of taking our services international in the near future.
